BBIED
Fort McCoy, being a mobilization station, has a "inert IED recognition route". Several are based on what troops have encountered in Iraq. The very last one, however, is a little touch of Wisconsin humor. Behold, the BBIED (Bambi Borne Improvised Explosive Device!
[yes, I realize that dead animals have been used to hide IEDs...but a deer is just soooo Wisconsin]

yeah, i thought maybe it was one of those super-burros Goldstein's 'dillo was worried about.
Looks like a donkey to me, too.
If the training were taking place in Washington State, the device would probably be concealed in a Sasquatch.
Hey! Like Wisconsin is dangerous compared to Chicago?
Simon,
At least we don't booby trap our animals...
Major John: Nor do we. Our deer jump out at you when you aren't looking. That's technically not booby-trapped.
hahahahahahaha... *snort*.
Oh well, as mucas it offends my vegetarian sensibilities. And you know, there was a D (donkey) BIED in Badakhshan last year?
And oh yeah, have some new photos on my blog. Would appreciate your opinion on a tank in Parwan Province.
I would rather go to NTC than Fort McCoy...just not JRTC. Ever. Again.
