Feeling Irish yet?
Proud parents? Check.
Not too bad a day. I didn't pay for a single pint at McNally's afterward either...
All in all, I feel honored to have been asked to fill the Grand Marshal's role. The memory of SSG Frazier should be foremost, however.

Major, you clean up pretty good. I'm glad you wore a real uniform and not those standard issue pajamas! :-)
Oh, and weren't you suffering from blog-block? Can I get a case of that? You're back on a roll again!
Bless you.
Not blog block - something else. I may end up getting into that someday. Far worse it is...
Congrats, John. A very well-earned honor. But I didn't know you were Irish! ;)
(PS - Man, it's been a long time since I've seen your folks! I hardly recognize them!! But they still look great! Say hi for me.)
I knew you were just setting us up for the upcoming... block. Thanks for the warning. Fine lookin' folks you have there Major John! A poud lot indeed.
Slainte and Hooah and sweet dreams...and all that!
You're not Irish or from St. Charles. What's the connection?
Hey! I just realized. I'm part Irish (there isn't much I'm not) and our favorite resturant in St. Charles is Salerno!
I worked in St. Charles for many years, I go to the Baker Memorial Methodist Church right along the parade route, and I am a genuine "B", no, make that "C" list military celebrity!
My Mom's family is Manx (Irish Sea and all that).
That must be why you have no tail.
