Buh Bye!

Slobo departs for his new job as the Devil's footrest.
"I believe I can fly..."

Now if we can only have Ratko join him...
What? Me next?
P.S. I haven't forgotten about you either, Radovan.
What did I do?
UPDATE: The first time I was ever in any bit of apprehension for my life was outside of Sarajevo - lost in the Serb areas (don't ask...) We came across a whole bunch of Radovan Karadzic posters - he was under international interdict at the time. We stopped and took a look, since it was such an unusal sight. A bunch of Serb men were not happy we were there (us, SFOR, not popular??). We left a bit quickly. Heh.
UPDATE 2: I don't hate these men just because I got scared once. I hate them because they could have peacefully lead their people into Europe, ala the Slovenes. Instead, they chose to be murderous, genocidal tyrants and despots. Scum, all of 'em.

So long Slobo. Of course he dies pampered in the Hague. So suffers all bad guys at the hands of the international community. Is this justice?

Yeah, I was rather hoping it was the informal "Jeffrey Dahmer sentence of death" rather than slipping away in a heart attack. Scum, he cheated justice all the way up to the end.

i'd wondered how you felt about this. i got an email last night with the subject line "yay!" and was a bit surprised, at first, to see the news article. apparently one of the lemmings spent some time over there and his feelings are much the same as yours.

I would have preferred to have him wither away after spluutering denials, soon to be followed by Ratko and Karadic...

Guess his time in the dock was up.

His deathreminds me of a need for a general history of the dictators who survived the fall of communism.

Very recent history, which we forge at our peril.

On the other hand, we now have all those Bosnian musselman maniacs running all over Cheznya and the middle east, murdering decent western civilians. Say what you will, but the Serbs were all set to fix that problem in their part of the world, when we jumped in.

Why aren't we looking the Bosnian murderers up and trying them in an international court? Politically incorrect?

Hey now - all I am talking about is the fate of these rat bastards. Whacking the crypto-jihadis that might wander out of the Federation of B-H is a different issue. I don't see any merit in trying to point to the "good" these scum did - they were savages toward EVERYONE. No excuse will cut it. No post hoc reasoning either

I lived in the Czech Republic for a while and they had a wonderful tradition for dealing with unpopular leaders - defenestration. Cheap, dramatic and satisfying. The actually have a couple monuments errected in the spots where ill-favored leaders went splat. It's too bad we live in such and enlightened age...

Of course the most famous, the Defenestration of Prague only failed to kill the two Habsburg officials tossed out the window because they landed in the dung filled old moat. Naturally, the Imperial Authroities ascribed their survival to a holy miracle. I suspect the actual witnesses might have differed with them, unless the smell was miraculously strong...
