Sorry, when I read, "Look What We Got", and saw "New Orleans", what sprang to mind was hookworm!
It's certainly a LARGE medal, and looks very impressive against your uniforms.

Oh - now that you mention it - "Look what I got" and New Orleans isn't the best connotation in the world... STDs? Arrested? Beads for flashing people? Maybe I should have gone with a different title... heh.

It's good to see that Louisiana can get things right from time to time.
As a state service award, no orders are cut. The authorizing memorandum was signed by the LANG TAG, MG Landreneau.
FYI, I wish Lt Gov Landrieu had won the mayoral election. New Oreleans needs a competent mayor, and I was hoping for a difference the next time I go to visit Louisiana. But competence and politics are not mutually inclusive.
