Good Day on the Curbside Shop in Charikar

The metalworkers' stalls in Charikar. I had seen this arrangment before - in Sarajevo in particular, and in other, older and less advanced cities. "Themed streets" - metalworkers, cloth and fabrics, produce, etc. Old school urban layouts. This fellow was counting up his money for the day - not too bad a take for the day.

The one thing that stands out the most to me is how incredibly white and clean his hat is. Amidst all the dirt and metal dust...

How does he DO that?

Shell,

That's his travelin' hat. It's quitting time and he's ready to go. He was counting up the day's receipts - probably figuring where he would stop on the way home to pick something up, etc.
