The CSM is experiencing some Internet access problems, so I will pass along a request of his.
SIGN PETITION FOR "LET THEM REST IN PEACE" ACT
Lt Gov Quinn asks that all Illinoisians that support the "Let Them Rest in Peace" Act to sign this online petition:
This request was made by the Illinois chapter of the Patriot Guard Riders, their motto is "Defend Those That Defended Us".
I realize there are excellent arguments regarding free speech and privacy - they cut both ways. Please go and see what the petition involves, and make up your own mind.

Free speach rules. Privacy depends upon the person. Would I want someone coming to my loved ones funeral, saying terrible things?
No! Murderers have an easier time resting in peace, then some of these Soldiers who served our country with honor and dignity.
Served us, kept us safe.
Quite honestly I don't think this has anything to do with privacy or free speech. It has to do with human dignity and compassion. Mercy for those who are suffering.
God Bless them and there families.
There is a difference between free speech and having respect for the loss of a loved one. At some point we have lost the human compassion that we once all held.
From what I read last they will revise this petion to allow cemetary workers the right to protest for better working conditions and thats it.
I think its about time someone put their foot time to make a change for the better.
