1500 vessels? Perhaps some more of those accursed dhows which ubiquitously ply the waves of the NAG.
By the way, if you want to ramp up an Iranian, be sure to refer to the Gulf as the Arabian Gulf.
Gimme an MH-60S with some good door gunners....
