I was so glad, last year, to be able to show my children that Santa can go anywhere. My 3 year old daughter was worried that he wouldn't be able to find me so far away...

We're all thankfull your situation for the holidays is much improved. I think this will be the year my son David tries to stay up late to see the fat guy, only to catch mom and dad suspiciously handling packages under the tree.
I am reminded about that poem where Santa visits a tent with a Marine (I think) and starts to cry, but the Marine tells him to Carry On.
I am very thankful that we got to spend last Christmas on Leave.
I sang "I'll Be Home For Christmas" to myself for weeks before. I half expected it to be something like they show in all those WWII movies, but it wasn't. Still it was great to be home.
I have to remember to do something nice for everybody who is performing his/her duty and isn't as fortunate as we were last year.
