Most telling quote in the articlw:
"Jackson said the election would be challenged in court regardless of the outcome because voting rights need to be protected."
Huh?
There are Nagin billboards all over Houston, encouraging people to vote for "their mayor". If he wins, he will have a real shot at recovering his sullied reputation.
As CSM said, you get what you deserve.
I could not believe Nagin even got close!! WT*??? Do they not remember when the hopsitals there were abandoned in order to move his friends out of the city? ACH!!!
They will get what they deserve, pretty much what they have gotten all along from Nagin. Fricken nothing!!
Last week was the anniversary of the san fran earthquake. I was going to research whether it took them longer to recover from the earthquake or for this recovery from Katrina.
Yah! Nagin is the guy who came to the Sunday pre-Katrina news conference having as he so stated, gotten his family off to Dallas by plane. He said that the citizens with no wheels could go to go to the evacuation centers of last resort as a first resort. Then he ordered 20,000 body bags. What they deserve? I guess the populace has bought into the fact that it was all the federal government's fault. Yah!
