Does This Mean We are Rid of Ted Stevens?
Miserable excuse for a US Senator, Ted Stevens (R-Alaska) threatened to resign if the pork project of the decade, "The Bridge to Nowhere", was defunded. Well Ted, your call now, HA!

As I understand it, the bridge won't be build but the money for it still goes to Alaska to spend as they please rather than going to Katrina relief or back in the federal kitty. Too bad. Plus it gives Stevens enough wiggle room to claim he doesn't have to resign.
