The Interior Minister of Syria has "committed suicide". I wonder if this was one of those instances of having the steely determination to shoot himself nine times (he was really determined to end it all - especially after the 3rd head shot...). It's not like he had anything to hide. Or that the regime wanted him quiet about anything.Nothing to see here - move along.

He probably realized that he had no where left to turn. Assad was going to scapegoat him and hang him high - so he folded.
I'm sure the buck didn't stop there, though. In any event, he has, no doubt, been greeted with open arms in hell.
But their was an incident in California where a man in front of a courthouse pulled a .44 revolver and shot his wife in the head (she died instantly) before cocking the gun again to shoot himself from under his chin through his brain leaving very little still in his skull, according to both forensic and eye witnesses. Still standing however, he then proceed to cock the gun and fire again. Then stumbling, cocked the gun and managed a third shot to his brain area as he fell backwards.
In light of that incident, I'm still not convinced the Minister of Syria actually killed himself.
