Good Riddance, "Army of One"
I despised the old "Army of One" advertising campaign. To my delight, the Army cut it short, sacked the advertising agency and is ready to launch the new campaign in it's place.
A Risk Managing Citizen-Retired Soldier, He Who Hunted Heads, A hoopy e-learning frood who is also a generative artist/teacher, A PMP'n Migratory Executive, A Running Dog Capitalist/Economist, A CSM who has had a Kipling Experience and an Author/Prop - Yummy as Krispy Kreme and as strong as Dunkin' Donuts Coffee!
My blog is worth $60,970.32.
How much is your blog worth?

I've never understood why they try to take the emphasis off teamwork and place it on individual achievement instead. It seems to be bass ackward to me.
Sage - good to see you back!
Gail - I saw the "preview" of the new campaign (the 'branding" concept vidoe) and I had a couple of tears roll...powerful stuff.
Leo Burnett in chicago had the last account. Huge money. A New York firm has the job now. It is very updated and well done. Good Job.
Haji - you really don't want to know how CSM Bones and I employed the "One Team" slogan...
Oooh, tell us more, Major!
I'm glad you said you like the new campaign. I was worried for a moment it would be another bad one.
How did you like "Be All That You Can Be"?
Be all that you can be was OK. Different times, different days, for sure.
I cannot post the "branding video" as we are supposed to wait for the official launch of the campaign on 9 November.
How about;
"The US Army, when you realize the rest of the free world wimps out"
Citizen,
Then I'd have some angry friends in the RAF Regiment...
Um. No one told me to wait to post the video.
RTO - ack, I misread the notes. When I went to the PA site, BG Tony Cucolo says "spread the word!"
Thanks!
One team one flight is what I said in Afghanistan.
I HATED (how the H*LL do you bold and make the text red on this thing, he said through clenched teeth) Army of None. And we had to go and make that our own G@dd@mn unit slogan! GRRRRRRRRRR!!!!
I was interviewed at AT one year (in the early 90s) and the reporter asked me how long I had left in. I told him that I'm an officer and I'll stay in and try to go as high as I can.
In the paper he said that I said I want to BE ALL THAT I CAN BE.
I laughed. I guess that was kinda what I said.
This new Army Strong thing is really good. I too had, well I had something in my eyes and had to rub them. Especially when they showed the old Vet. It had a little Bernini's David about it.
Interesting post you got here. I'd like to read something more about that theme.
By the way look at the design I've made myself A level escorts
