I'll Forgive, but I'll not Forget

Senator Durbin gets the boot from Mayor Daley and later on gives a strange, more or less apology. It still reeks of the "I apologize to those who thought my remarks went over the line, but I ain't sorry I made them," but I guess it'll have to do. Oh, and stop blubbing, Senator. Cripes man, act like a member of the World's Greatest Deliberative Body, not a guest on Dr. Phil.

His remarks were so bizarre and at the same time completely prepared. Could he possibly be thinking he'd gain political advantage by this? I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens career wise to him.

"I'll Forgive, but I'll not Forget."

Well I guess that is the 'right' thing to do,and it was the armed forces he slandered, but this forgiving thing is way over-rated,imho.

There is a strain of 'thought' running amok in the West today,of which Durbin is but one repugnant example. Why should these people get to say or do the most outlandish, destructive things and then merely waltz away with their 'objective' positions intact so that they can strike again in the future?

I think Durbin should be pursued until he is forced out of his Whip position in the Senate. He is a disgrace and should pay for his careless perfidy.
