You know you are in the best part of the world when...

You look out your back window and see the soybeans being harvested. Ahhh!

I love the Midwest. I can be at O'Hare International or Woodfield Mall in under an hour, or I can be at something like this. We have it all within easy reach.

Hey, it's all baseball to me (yuck).

Best part of the world, huh? How come ESPN shows the US Women's soccer team getting beat in the "?Women's soccer World Cup?" all day long, but will never even mention what the US Eagles are doing in the RUGBY World Cup?

What is wrong with the world?

Thank goodness for Old Boy 1 and his DVD burner!!!

btw, I love Chicagoland anyway!

I second the nomination for the Midwest! (I'm in North Central Ohio) Especially now that the deer will start moving.

I flew into Midway last week coming from the Southwest. Were those junked cars I saw on somebody's roof?

Sox fan here, too. I grew up in Streamwood and later lived in Lake in the Hills in McHenry County.

I remember with much fondness the smell of the roasting soy beans as we drove through Gibson City on the way to the University of Illinois.

Good times...
