This is the Paktika Blanket Factory. Actually, I think it is their...uh, corporate offices. Sited on the northern edge of Kabul, it presented the strangest sight around. Before seeing this building, I hadn't known there was a "Cthulhu School" of architecture.UPDATE:

Legos has seen...
Of course, now that you do 'know' about Cthulhu achitecture, you will need to subtract 1d8 from your Sanity. Some things men were not meant to know.
ReplyDelete(rolls die) - aw, crap. 6 off the ol' sanity. Man, I swear I am staying out of Kabul from now on...
ReplyDeleteI know this is going to sound like I'm making this up, but I swear that I have seen that pic recently. I remember somebody commenting about the mounds in the foreground and why there is snow on only one side.
ReplyDeleteI hope it wasn't in a dream. Oh, god I was in LA recently too.
I'll go back and look at old posts. Maybe it wasn't a dream or maybe MJ showed me the pic at drill in December.
I hope so, dear god I hope so.
It must have been a dream. I looked back on the old posts and it never appeared before!
ReplyDeleteI don't know if anyone we met in LA could count as an obscene degenerate cult worshiping eldritch gods. It's so hard to tell these days.
Has anyone seen anything in the papers about a Swedish cargo ship finding a heretofore unknown island?
Are the Swedes in the Coalition of the Willing in Afghanistan. Maybe this time it was a convoy.
I think the word verification is some sort of message from the Old Ones (frnfa frnfa Gfunht g'enorskishe!)
Prop,
ReplyDeleteI showed you the pic at last drill. Yes, there are Swedes in Afghanistan - I remember a few of them browsing the Bagram PX every week...
Major John: Could you please specify where the Paktika Blanket Factory building is located. I searched on Google Earth around the northern outskirts of Kabul but could not find it. Thanks.
