I don't eat any of those creatures because they remind me of their terrestrial counterparts--snails, scorpions and spiders.
ReplyDeleteHowever, the biblical prohibition may have more to do with the fact that they sometimes pick up harmful bacteria or algal toxins that can cause illness. They also tend to spoil rather quickly, a problem in hot climates, ante-refrigeration.
